Outlook Nebraska helps blind or visually impaired teens to grow up self-reliant and self-assured, as well as enjoy life’s simple pleasures, such as the social aspects of a round of golf. Outlook’s Blind Golfer Academy helps them learn this valuable lesson. Visually impaired individuals pair up with adaptive sports specialists and golf pros to learn driving, chipping and putting techniques. Participants then use those skills to compete for prizes and complete three holes, followed by lunch. Outlook Nebraska encourages visually impaired individuals age 9 and older to participate. The Blind Golfer Academy kicks off Outlook Nebraska’s annual Tee It Up Fore Sight fundraiser, a fun event that raises money for Youth Recreation Activities. Contact Outlook’s fund development team at 402-614-3331 to sponsor a visually impaired golfer for this year’s event.
