One in four Americans is at risk for serious vision loss. Therefore, each of us probably knows someone who would benefit from resources available for those with limited sight. Outlook Nebraska, a nonprofit organization, is hosting the Vision Resource Fair and encourages people experiencing vision loss, or those who know someone experiencing vision loss, to attend. Attendees will find:
o People who understand what it is like to have vision loss.
o Tools that will help you at home and on the job, such as computer screen readers, magnifying devices and apps to help read restaurant menus.
o People who help with job training, placement and transportation.
o Resources for parents and caregivers.
Join us at this free, two-day event at Baxter Arena and connect with dozens of local organizations committed to providing people who are blind and visually impaired with resources, services, information and support.
